The Bible talks a lot about weakness whether it be spiritual or physical. That middle verse from Isaiah is one of my life verses, in fact it & Psalm 73:23 are part of the story behind my tatt on the inside of my right wrist (fun fact back in the day the wrist & hand both were referred to as hand). What inspired my tatt was getting ready to move to Los Angeles, CA by myself. Having it reminded me not to fear or feel weak because God was right there holding my hand & cheering me on. When I got to LA it definitely made me feel like a very small fish in a humongous ocean, but every time things seemed like they were going to pull me into the undertow I’d see my tat & remember I wasn’t alone God was with me.

Fast forward to now the tat still helps, but my definition of weakness/feebleness has changed. I now read these verses in a much more literal way. My hands are feeble at times. Sometimes it’s like I can’t seem to get my hands to grip anything other times it takes intense focus & prayer or weights to get them to stop twitching. The world would define me as weak or needing too much help but that isn’t how God defines us. He loves helping us. When Paul had asked God to take away his illness God answered, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” This used to be a crazy concept to me. Does that mean God wants us to stay weak so He can look strong? Sounds kinda controlling right? That’s where we have to go back & read the whole chp. or book. What is actuatlly being spoken of here is in our weakness we can discover the depth of God’s love & mercy. Where the world would give up on us or count us out God sees our weakness as an opportunity to really let His love light shine bright! My weakness has really showed me just how awesome our God is! I am so thankful He never gets tired of helping me or showing He cares. He never stops fighting for me even when I’ve given up, He strengthens my feeble hands to go just a little bit further.
