No-Peanut Butter Cookies

Writer: Amanda ElstsAmanda Elsts

Ok so I know I’ve written up a few recipes on here, but this time I just wanted to encourage you to do some of your own ‘outside the box cooking’ and in this case baking. There is some trial and error, but for the most part it isn’t to hard to replace high copper ingredients for low copper ones. In this case of peanut butter cookies I just replaced the peanut butter 1 for 1 with Kween Granola Butter https://kween.co/ . And the shortening with palm oil (shortening is typically made with soy).

They came out delicious they has a slightly different consistency but still very good. I think next time I might add more of the Kween Butter and see what happens.

Just know that you can do this with lots of stuff. Instead of using soy sauce you can use Coconut Aminos. Or instead of nuts in a trail mix you can use pretzels. It’s just a matter if rethinking your old ‘go to’s’ and start some new habbits!

I hope you find this encouraging and leave me a comment with any new things you’ve found in your kitchen or if you want me to post the recipe I used.
